Feed Formulator - London, ON

Masterfeeds has the immediate need for a Feed Formulator.  Experience in the field of animal husbandry is desirable, a Degree or Diploma in Agriculture and/or extensive related experience is required.

     

    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will have 3 + years industry experience, including direct involvement in feed formulation and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong people and communication skills are needed, as well as computer literacy. Preference will be given to individuals with Brill experience.  This position provides technical support to internal and external customers.  Teamwork is essential to succeed in this role.
    We are looking for someone who is passionate about the industry, not afraid of change and believes in continuous improvement.

    Poultry Nutritionist - London, Ontario

    Reporting to the Director of Nutrition, the Nutritionist will be responsible for developing poultry feed programs as part of the monogastric nutrition group.  This position will be based in our London office.

    You will work closely with Account Managers and the Nutrition team to provide feed formulation, feeding management advice and technical support to our customers.   You will provide ongoing nutritional training and act as a resource for the sales team, additionally you will participate with quality assurance and quality control programs.

     

    Requirements:

    Sound nutritional knowledge in poultry is required. A strong background in poultry nutrition and management is desirable.
     
    The successful candidate will possess a minimum MSc (Agriculture) degree in Animal Nutrition (Poultry).  While industry related experience is preferred, superior interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency in computer and nutrition software applications.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Control and accurately count cash floats and perform weekend deposits.
    • Operate cash register, process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of grade 12 or equivalent.
    • Experience with securing and closing procedures including night key holder and alarm system activation. 
    • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. 
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
