Blueprint® Swine Starters
Using nutrition to better meet the needs of animals’ genetics, requires going beyond simply adding higher nutrient concentrations to the diet.
In understanding piglets at the cellular level, Blueprint® offers the opportunity to make performance and profitability a precise science.
In nature, we would find more than a simple analysis of protein, fat, minerals, vitamins and fibre. Like swine genetics, the nutritional sciences have evolved. Our concept of nutrients continues to expand, allowing us to provide diets with both functional and nutritional characteristics. Blueprint® Nutrition contains the ingredients needed to shift nutrient profiles in practical diets toward more functional, usable forms that better meet the animal’s needs.
WHY BLUEPRINT®?
- Full expression of the pig’s genetic potential.
- Use of nutritional innovations for optimal performance and health.
- A pig with a more developed gut and microbiome requires less antibiotics and feed, which drives profits.
ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:
- Quicker start on feed
- Faster gut development
- Increased growth
- Promote natural defences
- Enhance digestion and nutrient uptake
- Improve feed efficiency and reduce the cost of production
- Maximize carcass value
LEADING NURSERY NUTRIENT TECHNOLOGIES:
NuPro®
A yeast extract protein source designed to stimulate feed intake in young pigs.
Increases ADG and ADFI.
– Carlson 2004
Bioplex® Minerals
Trace minerals are important nutritional weapons in the fight against disease, and the form in which they are present can impact their effectiveness. Organic minerals differ from inorganic forms because they are bound to protein fragments just like those in plants and are readily available when needed.
– Hill 2014
Sel-Plex® Mineral
Naturally occuring form of Selenium.
Works together with Vitamin E.
Improves immunity, working as an antioxidant.
Reduces drip loss and increases lipid stability in the carcass.
– Calvo 2016
Allzyme® SSF – Solid State Fermentation
A proprietary enzyme complex that improves nutrient release from feed ingredients. Allzyme® works in synergy with the pig’s own digestive enzymes to expose additional energy, protein, amino acids and minerals for digestion. Allows greater formulation flexibility and feed cost savings.
– Fremaut 2009
Actigen®
Reduces intestinal inflammatory response, which lowers instances of scours. Improves intestinal morphology and increases permeability.
– Min 2019
Improves digestion, gut health and FCR.
– Nollet 2012
Viligen™
A combination of fatty acids and prebiotic components designed to prepare the immature gut for efficient nutrient absorptions, rapid growth and encourages feed intake.
COMPLETE FEEDS:
Extruded Creep – a highly digestible, fragrant and palatable feed specialized to stimulate intake and transition the gut in suckling piglets. It is designed to get piglets off to a quick start and reduce post weaning scours.
Phase 1 – an ideal creep feed for piglets still nursing on the sow. This feed can also be used for the first feeding in the nursery. Typical usage will range from 0.25 kg to 2.0 kg
Phase 2 – suitable for feeding as a creep feed with the sow and is ideal
as an early starter for piglets weaned 5.5 kg to 8.0 kg. The maximum recommended feed allowance per pig is 3.0 kg. Typical usage will range from 0.5 kg to 2.0 kg per pig.
Phase 3 – the first phase for piglets weaned over 8.0 kg or as a second phase starter for piglets weighing 8.0 kg to 12.0 kg in a multi-phase starter program. The maximum recommended feed allowance per pig is 5.0 kg. Typical usage will range from 3.0 kg to 4.0 kg per pig.
Phase 4 – a starter for pigs weighing from 12.0 kg to 20.0 kg. It can be fed following Blueprint Phase 3 in a multi-phase starter program. Typical usage will range from 9.0 kg to 11.0 kg per pig.
Phase 5 – a late stage starter for pigs weighing from 20.0 kg to 27.0 kg. It can be fed following Blueprint® Phase 4 in a multi-phase starter program. Typical usage will range from 8.0 kg to 10.0 kg per pig.
Phase 6 – ideal as a starter for pigs weighing from 12.0 kg to 27.0 kg. It can be fed following Blueprint® Phase 3 in a multi-phase starter program. Typical usage will range from 18.0 kg to 20.0 kg per pig.
SUPPLEMENTS/PREMIXES:
Supplement 240 – a premium vitamin and mineral supplement for on-farm mixers feeding weaned piglets 8 to 12 kg. It is designed to optimize gut health and ensure a quick start and efficient growth through the nursery phase.
Supplement 140 – a premium vitamin and mineral supplement for on-farm mixers feeding weaned piglets 12 to 20 kg. It is designed to optimize gut health and ensure a quick start and efficient growth through the nursery phase.
Premix 40 – a premium vitamin and mineral premix for on-farm mixers feeding weaned piglets 20 to 27 kg. It is designed to optimize gut health and ensure a quick start and efficient growth through the nursery phase.
Premix 50 – a premium vitamin and mineral premix for on-farm mixers feeding weaned piglets 12 to 25 kg. It is designed to optimize gut health and ensure a quick start and efficient growth through the nursery phase.
