Masterfeeds acquires Feedmatch, an Ontario livestock nutrition company

February 15, 2016

[LONDON, ON] –Effective today, Masterfeeds, an Alltech company, has acquired 100% of the shares of Keymatch Corporation (operating as Feedmatch, one of Ontario’s leading premix companies). Based in New Hamburg, Ontario, Feedmatch has been owned and operated by David and Beatriz Gosling for the past 34 years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Feedmatch employees into the Masterfeeds family,” stated Rob Flack, president and CEO of Masterfeeds. “Feedmatch has earned on-farm success with proven technology and product performance that will complement our ability to effectively supply the beef and dairy livestock sectors in Southwestern Ontario. We are proud to be joining forces with the Gosling family and their dedicated team of employees as we build a stronger company to better serve animal agriculture in Canada.”

Feedmatch animal premix production will now take place at the Masterfeeds premix plant (Daco Animal Nutrition) in Stratford, Ontario. Customers will continue to be supplied with existing formulations under the Feedmatch brand, serviced by their current Feedmatch representatives.

All Feedmatch sales, nutrition and support personnel will be joining Masterfeeds and will continue to be led by Dave Gosling, founder of Feedmatch, based at the Stratford plant.

“Becoming part of the Masterfeeds/Daco organization will allow Feedmatch to keep its identity and improve services to our customers, while taking advantage of modern production facilities and access to a wider range of technical and scientific support,” said Gosling.

“Feedmatch and Daco will make a great team as we explore new technologies with Alltech and deliver exciting, value-added on-farm feeding solutions,” said Art Alblas, general manager, Daco Animal Nutrition.
